Slept in, so breakfast - peanut butter toast! - was more of a brunch.
And "lunch" was more of an early dinner with Tracey! From the taco truck near her studio - a veggie burrito - rice, beans, carrots, radishes, onions, cilantro, lettuce.
Lunch was pretty exciting! Salad - arugula, kale, and broccoli from the garden, lemon cucumbers from my neighbor, tomatoes and plums from the farmer's market, nuts, oil and vinegar
Dinner - quorn "hamburger" with bits of leftover roasted vegetables and bread. Sort of brings me back to hearing the complaints of mothers in the rural area where I grew up in (last century). One in particular I remember was talking about how her husband complained about when she wasn't home, how was he supposed to eat? (I guess he couldn't spread peanut butter?). Her answer, which I remember to this day, "Anything between two pieces of bread is a sandwich."
I am clearly predictable and not organized to do anything more than a cold breakfast before work. This is granola and almond milk again.
Lunch was another veggie wrap from Diablo Foods, at least not on the go this time. Trying to leave mealtimes for mealtimes, at least this week.
Though dinner, after a late meeting, wasn't too extravagant. Quorn veggie burger (not to bad, even though the name disturbs me a little) with arugula from my garden, bread, mustard.
Day 6 I taught a workshop - overslept a bit, and skipped breakfast to get there on time. Lunch was a rushed inhalation of leftovers from dinner the night before. However, for dinner, I was fortunate to dine with friends at Herbivore!
...and then on to day 7!
Breakfast
Lunch was more of a bunch of snacks during a studio visit with Christina McPhee!
